Hey guys, so big news coming from DW HQ.  The band will be heading out on the road for the month of May and June for the newly dubbed.  Things will kick off in Blacksburg and finish up in Eastern Tennessee.  Dates are as follows

Alright, so it’s been a decent while since our late post, and we apologize greatly (we didn’t want to neglect anyone), but just take my word that we’ve been pretty busy lately.  We’ve been performing all over the place meeting a lot of cool people, as well as hammering out some new music.

The big news of the evening is that we were selected for the “Road To Roo” battle of the bands competition.  Top ten bands with the most votes, goes on for a chance to play at this year’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.  We would greatly appreciate it if you would take a moment and follow the link below and vote for us.

As I said in my last post we have been working on a new song in the studio, and we finally got it finished up.  We will upload “When In Rome” onto the Music page so go cop you a good listen.

We also have our new t-shirts in and we’re excited to share them with you.  We hope to get an online store set up soon, but until then you’ll only be able to get them at DW shows.  Here is a photo.

 And finally we bring you big news for the coming month.  Driftin’ Westward will be hitting the road come May, and taking our music out into the world by route of various cities, festivals, and towns.  More news to come.

Speaking of festivals, we urge all of you to check out the Shenandoah Riverside Festival.  We will be playing performing at the festival this year along with some amazing acts such as Rhonda Vincent, and Iron Horse.  Check them our on Facebook or their website below.

New Single Coming Soon and Live Show Dates Added

We’ve been very busy these last couple weeks preparing to head into the studio this weekend to record our new single “When In Rome”.  We’re very eager to start cutting it, and will be revealing it in coming days.  You can find it first here on our site, as well as keep up with all upcoming band news and events.

We’ve also been adding new shows to our calendar.  We will be continuing to book new dates, and posting them around the web, but you can always find the latest updates on our Live Dates page.

We’re particularly excited about our upcoming local show at PK’s Bar and Grill in Blacksburg, VA on February 18th.  As of right now, we plan to release our new DW T-shirts at the show.  For those in the New River Valley area come out enjoy great music featuring song from the new White Coat EP, and cop a Driftin’ Westward T-shirt while your at it!  Show starts at 9, and there is no cover charge.

White Coat EP Release

Hello world, we have big news from the Driftin’ Westward camp today.  We have uploaded the remaining tracks from our White Coat EP to the music section of our site.  So you should definitely go snag a listen or just download all the tracks for FREE.  We put a lot of work into the tracks, and we hope you enjoy them thoroughly, so share it with some of your buds.

We have to give a big shout our to Mr. David Castle and Colby Elswick for their help in cutting the tracks.  All your help was greatly appreciated, and they wouldn’t sound as good as they do without you guys.
